Reverse M.C.F.A.T.

This time, MCF gives us the answers and we have to come up with the questions - and he'll award points!
I'm a little late on this one - but at least I participated.
I tried to be as... unusual as possible.

1. Howie Mandel and Gilbert Gottfried.
Who has MCF modeled his superhero looks and voice after?

2. Because I was bored.
Uhh... MCF?  Why did you redecorate the Watchtower in a Spiderman theme?

3. Polly-O string cheese.
What secret weapon did MCF once use to save the world?

4. Sister Christian.
What was the song Evil Lord Vilifarous* once played to lull MCF into a quasi-state of relaxation?

5. Seinfeld; Prison Break; Joey.
Name the three television shows where MCF's mysterious cloaked elbow is slightly visible in a scene of at least one episode.

6. My finger was stuck in a hole in the desk.
Hey MCF! Why didn't you help redecorate the Watchtower after the Spiderman drapes fiasco?

7. A Recorder.
Besides the harpsichord, what is the worst musical instrument ever invented?

8. A refrigerator box.
What is the secret hiding place of MCF's teleportation device?

9. Peter, Cindy, and Dudley.
What is the name of the strange English dish of tacos, jam, and an elderberry milkshake?

10. Jams.
MCF, besides songs by Nightranger, what is your only weakness that supervillains can use to defeat you?

11. Alcohol.
What was the primary cause of the Spiderman decorations fiasco?

12. Goggles.
What is the one item MCF refuses to wear with his superhero costume?

13. April.
Name the female human friend of the TMNT that MCF once blackmailed into helping him redecorate the JLA Watchtower?

14. Hold a pen properly.
What words of wisdom did your superhero mentor give to you before he passed away?

15. Oyster Bay.
What is the name of the grunge band that MCF's secret civilian identity plays the Recorder for?

16. Iceman, Nibbler, and Megatron.
What characters did Peter, Cindy, and Dudley dress as while distracting the JLA so MCF could redecorate the Watchtower.

17. “This can't be a dream; there are no girls!”
What has MCF been known to shout as he rushes into battle with supervillains?

18. He doesn't have one.
What excuse does MCF give when other superheroes ask to use his teleportation device?

19. Change.
Evil Lord Vilifarous once distracted MCF by throwing some of this on the ground at his feet?

20.”Sweet Christmas!”
What is MCF's favorite exclamation?

*Evil Lord Vilifarous does not exist in any known continuity.

Wish List

Chris Pirillo posted his "faux" wish list in his latest newsletter.

It's pretty good, and I can agree with most of them. Add these things to my wish list too (though I'm not too concerned at this point about numbers 5 and 6).

Chris Pirillo's wish list:
(1) World peace;
(2) True instant messaging platform interoperability;
(3) The death penalty for spammers and spyware vendors;
(4) An end to DRM;
(5) Windows Vista Visual Service Pack 1;
(6) OS X on non-Apple hardware;
(7) A mobile communications company that doesn’t suck;
(8) Full U.S. government disclosure on UFOs and ETs;
(9) More friends who aren’t on MySpace; and
(10) A public apology from George Lucas for all three prequels.

Are you in SW Pennsylvania?

Okay, this isn't my place, and I haven't been there. But I'm dying to go, so y'all have to visit on my behalf until I can get there!

Husband, wife, and cute kiddo have opened up The Place, offering coffee, donuts, and smiles. Husband is a Cordon Bleu graduate, which I think pretty much guarantees melt-in-your-mouth yumminess.

Wife/owner says:
Hubby makes doughnuts, from scratch. I make muffin tops and cookies and truffles. Today's muffins were Clementine, chocolate crumble, walnut coffee, pumpkin maple walnut, and cinnamon. Yum! the cookie today was an outrageously tasty mocha cookie. Hubby will be making biscotti, cannoli and many other delicious pastries as we go.

The doughnuts are very cool and unique, but I'm not telling why. You have to go see them for yourself. Same with the decor. I've seen pics, and am dying to see it in person. Go do it for me!

Directions are as follows:

We're just sw of PIttsburgh, off I-79 Bridgeville exit. Take 50 west until you hit the big town of Cecil and we are just past the fire department on the right.

They had a soft opening, unannounced, no banners, signs, etc. And they sold out. Must be good stuff. Go, visit, eat, tell the owners I said hi!

Lunch

I had Turkey for lunch. What'd you have?

Also, to paraphrase an email I got at work today (yes, I'm at work now - I'll be here on Christmas too), anyway - to paraphrase an email I got;

While you're being thankful today, take a moment to be thankful for the men and women in uniform, both locally and around the world, who spend their holidays protecting you. It's not just the military thousand of miles away, it's also your local police officers, firefighters, Emergency Medical workers, and countless others who take time away from their own family to protect yours.

Happy Thanksgiving! Now that you've gorged on Turkey, take a quiz about turkey!

Too much fun

Yesterday was Catherine's birthday. I had to work dayshift, so just before I left for work, she got to open her presents from me and Rubi.
After work, we went to Rubi's parents house for dinner, cake, and more presents.
Every gift she opened, she squealed "I love it!!".
Then on to my parents house for a short visit.

This morning Catherine came into our bedroom about 4 a.m. crying because her ear hurt. Uh-oh. She's been congested for a few days, fighting off whatever crud Elizabeth and I have been fighting off.  She spent of the day sleeping on the couch.
Rubi got her into the doc this afternoon - it's just an ear infection. Later, she fell asleep while waiting for the kids to get out of school, and then on the way home she threw up in the van.

I guess she just had too much fun yesterday.

Oh, and another thing?

Kev's going to FLIP OUT when he reads this, and the lectures on over-committing myself will NEVER end.
