Alexander is fine.
They did a cat scan of his appendix and there were no problems.
They said his bowels were probably just spasming from being sick. He got a prescription for an antispasmodic and an anti-nausea.
He charmed all the ladies working in the ER last night, and they all signed his coloring book they gave him.
I'm sure Rubi will post a more thorough and interesting update to this as she finds time.

Good news. Hospital can be scary for a child and a parent. These days, an appendectomy is a relatively simple procedure(had mine out a few years ago while they were in there removing some of my intestines to ge tmy Meckel's Diverticulum out), but glad to hear he doesn't have to go through even minor laproscopic surgery. That medicine can cure a problem and surgery isn't needed is the best news anyone can hear.
