Shameless Self-Promotion
I read the LiveJournal of an author of SF&F novels, notably in the Trek and Buffy-verses, among many others and his own.
In one of his latest posts, he invited his readers to ask questions - just about anything goes.
I asked "Can you make me a character in one of your stories?".
He replied in the affirmative, but noted that my LJ username is not my real name (or anything close to it as my LJ username is hi__there). I replied giving him my name and mentioned that I'm pretty much me everywhere on the 'net except on the various Firefly forums where I'm "CapnFatPants".
He replied again with "Okay, really didn't need that much info..... *chuckle*"
