WHOA. That's one of the best things I've seen all week!
I always picked up on the more obvious allusions to A New Hope in TFTM, but I suppose Star Wars borrowed from Tolkien as much as Dune or any other epic that followed LotR. It really is the best blueprint for these kinds of stories.
